OVERDRIVE GEARBOX MOUNT & FITTING BOLTS that would be suitable for the following vehicles :

TRIUMPH SPITFIRE MkI, II, III, IV & 1500 ; YEARS 1962-1980.

This item is NEW and for reference has the Part No. 159656. The bolts & washers are UNF thread and have a zinc plated finish for added corrosion resistance. They will attach the gearbox mount to the metal mounting plate attached to the chassis.

Like any part made, or consisting of rubber, they can be prone to oil and road dirt contamination which over time results in the rubber perishing or splitting. This can then cause excessive gearbox vibration or movement when under applied load through acceleration and braking. If the overdrive gearbox mount on your classic is looking past its best through age or perished rubber then this item would make an ideal replacement and an essential part of any restoration project and/or gearbox refurbishment.
